Trivia: The main house did not have a true basement but a dirt potter’s cellar, and thus had no long staircase leading down to it. Because of this, the basement scenes were filmed in the editing studio’s cellar.

Goofs: Continuity: While Karl and Ben are fighting for the rifle, the door to the main room, near the basement door, opens and shuts between cuts.
